Work Scope: Generator Rotor removal and installation for repair

Gear box cover is removed and dismantling of brushless exciter has started

Gear box is removed and exciter bearing assy. and pilot exciter stator have been dismantled

Tight working conditions, removing the exciter housing

Sneaking out the exciter housing between the HP turbine and the generator enclosure

Removing the exciter shaft from the generator rotor

Removal of the DE lower end shield in progress

DE lower end shield is lowered down and the rotor removal saddle is installed

Rotor lifted with the crane on the NDE in preparation for pulling it out

Rotor pulled out as far as possible and supported

Rotor lowered into the loading bay to be loaded onto a truck heading for Richmond Virginia

Rotor all cleaned up and painted being unloaded from the truck

Rotor is slowly moved past the HP turbine and the enclosure for installation

Rotor heading into the hole

Rotor inserted and hanging off the turn buckles and slings

Quite a jump forward, the exciter housing is being installed
